Consistent with professional practices at collections-based institutions such as museums and archives, a Collections Policy, approved by the Board of Directors, is in place and provides guidelines for the acquisition and proper care of materials at the Ali Center.  We welcome the donation of items that support our institutional mission and programs, but regrettably, we are unable to responsibly accept all materials offered. 

Final decisions regarding acquisition of items for the collection will be made by the Collections Committee of the Board of Directors in collaboration with professional staff.  The committee will meet periodically to review potential gifts and determine the feasibility of inclusion in the Ali Center's Library & Archives.
