Ali Center Receives Donation of Glass Boxing Glove

The Muhammad Ali Center recently became the beneficiary of a beautiful sculptured glass boxing glove.  The generous donation, given by Jennifer and Richard Lennon (of Mount Pleasant, SC), was designed by Scott Darlington, an award-winning glass artist and former faculty member at Pilchuck Glass School.  The sculptured boxing glove combines the paradoxical qualities of strength and delicacy – not unlike Muhammad Ali himself.  In 2002, another glass glove by Darlington was autographed by Ali and auctioned off for $18,000 at the 24^th Annual Pilchuck Glass School Auction in Seattle, Washington.
