Like Muhammad Ali himself, the Ali Center focuses on what brings individuals together, not what sets them apart.  Our goals include serving as a “global gathering place” where people come—both online and in person—to learn, share, and formulate ways of advancing humanity today and in the future. One component of this mission is to develop conflict management and mediation programming.

Conflict management and mediation takes many forms – whether it is talking out differences, a self-discovery of inner conflicts, dispelling stereotypes or just listening to different points of view.  Muhammad, who served as a United Nations Messenger of Peace, has made it one of his missions to promote respect, understanding and peace among people all over the world.  In preserving his legacy and life’s work, the Ali Center works toward continuing the important task of bringing people together, finding mutual respect and understanding, and celebrating our commonalities as human beings.
